Why Breathwork?

Breathwork is a “New Age” term for various breathing practices in which the conscious control of breathing is said to influence a person's mental, emotional, or physical state, with a therapeutic effect.

As we go through life, various life experiences happen to us which we can perceive as good or bad. We accumulate all these experiences and traumas in our mind, body, and soul. We have been taught to suppress our emotions and avoid fully experiencing or responding to them.

Emotional information is stored as stagnant energy in our organs, tissues, skin and muscles. This stagnant energy stays in our body until we can “release” it. Negative emotions in particular have a long-lasting effect on the body.

With the help of our sacred breath we are able to access our higher self and our inner world to release these suppressed emotions. 

The style of Breathwork that I teach incorporates a two-part inhalation and an exhale. This form of conscious breathing helps relax, manage stress, and calm anxiety. You learn how to breath fully while activating the subconscious mind and allowing for transformation of limiting thoughts.

A Breathwork session allows for the release of stagnant energy in our body. This process helps us to transform and release emotions, beliefs and limiting thoughts. 

It helps to remove old energies, patterns, conditioning, and negative thoughts. Most of us don’t breathe fully, we hold back the breath and have been doing so most of our lives. When we begin to breathe fully and consciously we are able to release our 'life traumas' and what we have been holding on to in our body. 

Breath opens the energy channels in the body and allows what we have been holding onto to surface and be released. 

This may be suppressed emotional material, physical blocks in the body, old beliefs structures and identifications, old memories, fight/flight/freeze patterns, and addictions.
